A NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (2019-NCOV) ASSOCIATED WITH HUMAN RESPIRATORY DISEASES-A REVIEW

ABSTRACT:

The coronavirus is named as a 2019-nCoV, which is easily transmitted from person-to-person. The virus is also named as Covid-19 (Co- Corona, vi- Virus, d-Disease). The main symptom of the coronavirus is pneumonia. Other clinical manifestations are sudden fever, Sore throat, Runny nose, Headache, etc. The coronavirus majorly affects the respiratory system and cardiovascular system. As a result there is sudden reduction in the leukocyte count and the damage to the lymphocyte is also seen. The coronavirus affect the animals and some coronaviruses affects the humans also. The coronavirus may spread any things such as touching to the infected things, wearing the infected cloths. But it is mainly spread due to the seafood and the germ which are present in the environment. The coronavirus mainly affects the lungs which results into breathlessness and it followed by pneumonia. The virus may affects the renal system, Endocrine system, Digestive system and Nervous system also. This virus affects the cells like Lymphocytes, Leucocytes, Neutrophils and Platelets. There is changes occurs in level of the Albumin, Alanine transferase, Aspartate aminotransferase, Lactate dehydrogenase and Glucose. The diagnosis is done by using the bacterial as well as fungal culture. The virus is also determined by using the biopsy technique. Methylprednisolone, INO-4800 is drug of choice for treatment. Avoid the meeting to infected person, leave from the infected area are the some measures to control the viral infection.
